Feeling Stuck? Try This.
I want to share a quick thought about living life unstuck. I want you to know you have the power to take action against your worst fears; against overwhelming anxiety, loneliness, depression, and/or self-doubt. You're not alone if the fear of failure seems to plague your thoughts or an indifferent attitude clouds your hopes and dreams.
When we act in ways that are contrary to what's important in our lives, we become emotionally and psychologically stuck. Ever been there? I have. Read this mantra out loud:
"If I continue to do what I've always done, then I'm always going to get what I've got."
Read it again. Maybe write it down somewhere and repeat it to yourself throughout the week. I'm going to challenge myself to look at the ways I've stayed stuck in something that is more harmful to me than helpful. I will decide on what I can control to change that. I encourage you to do the same!
Dare to dream big. Commit to small changes this week or the next that are healthy for you. Be kind to yourself when you slip up. Today, work on letting go of at least one excuse that has held you back from a goal you'd like to achieve or a change you've been trying to make. Take it one day at a time and watch your own actions lead you where you want to go.
